Little Hexagons

I recently purchased these little hexagons on e-bay. 

I have some ideas on how I'm going to use these gorgeous little friends.

I just need to find some time to sit and hand sew.

Winter may be just the right time to get started.

On My Mind....

On my mind today is.....

My poor old caravan.

I am in the midst of renovating her into my craft room and have not had alot of spare time lately to work on her.

She has been sitting there for several months now and I have a vision in my head of the finished craft room! 

I have almost stripped her back to a shell and have the floor and flooring to replace, insulation, painting and construction of the sewing table, storage and seating to complete.
Sounds like I need to make time to get stuck into it! 

My neighbours have already named her as; Shazza's Sewing Shack

Friday afternoon free-time

This afternoon while Little Evie had her afternoon nap and before school pick-up time, 

I managed to have a little time for myself.

The sun was shining and the air was warm, so what better way to enjoy and 

take advantage of the last days of summer??

 Why, a little bit of knitting of course!! 

It lasted just long enough before the sun started to disappear behind the clouds

and Little Evie woke from her nap!

A couple of rows is better than no rows!

Lil' Pumpkins...

The pumpkins volunteered themselves from the compost.

And they are beginning to take over!

And they are producing a couple of lil' pumpkins!

This is the first time I have had pumpkins grow!

I'm very happy about this!

And there are more on their way....

I'm going to have to find some new pumpkin recipes!

Our Summer 2011

 Hot sunny days have been few and far between this summer.

And sadly we are entering the last few weeks of our favourite season.

My Little Rainbow

Here is my contribution to Crochet a Rainbow; 

They are ready to be posted off to Sarah London to be made into lovely

Granny Square Blankets and will then be donated to flood victims.

My first Gardenia

Gardenia's are my favourite flower - the flower is gorgeous and the scent is divine. 

Last year I bought myself my very first gardenia and it recently flowered for the first time!

Lovely!

Summer Sunset :: part 2

We ventured to the back beach again the other night for another Summer Sunset. 

 It was very windy again so we didn't stay to watch the sunset completely.
